A Murano glass sculpture is always a unique, inimitable piece of craftsmanship, of great value, appreciated, admired and certainly envied!
The result of each sculpture is the fruit of techniques, skills, experiences and of the creativity of the individual craftsman, but the process of working Murano glass, which is divided into two phases, is almost identical for all:

How many times have we gone through a home decor magazine and seen wonderful items? And how many times have we exclaimed: “how I would like to have it!” …?
You know, magazines publish only beautiful things, design objects that tease the reader, that entice him to look for a certain product and then own it .
But you don’t need to daydream in front of a glossy page, you don’t need to go in search of the fashion artist or the famous one … it takes very little to have an object of great value in your hands, just contact to the master glassmakers of Murano !!!

  1. The first processing: the raw materials such as sand, soda and raw glass are melted to obtain the vitreous mixture. The vitreous mixture is then processed to obtain different effects and to give life to different types of glass that take the name of: aventurine, crystal, lattimo, opaline and chalcedony.
  2. The second process: the master glassmaker creates his work of art with lampwork or glass cane, kiln casting or slumping, glass fusing or other cold processes such as grinding, engraving or decoration.

The Murano glass sculptures are made with skilful experience and attention, the glass masters can reproduce anything with the glass, from a sweet animal to a very precious vase, knick-knacks that will never lose their value, on the contrary, over time they acquire it, showing themselves as a real investment.
The beauty of these objects is not given only by the fact to have a unique work of art at home, because even the eye wants its part, so here a Murano glass sculpture becomes something fabulous and when it crosses and incorporates the sun’s rays, it seems to shine with its own light .

It is possible to admire these wonderful glass sculptures at the Giustinian Palace, where the Murano Glass Museum is located: pieces purchased or donated by great glass masters. The Museum exhibits world-renowned masterpieces, for example it is possible to admire the glass by Venini, Zecchin, Carlo Scarpa … and many other unique pieces by glass artists who have contributed to making Murano the world capital of glass processing. /> There is certainly no shortage of contemporary works and there is always something extremely suggestive in the external exhibition in the remarkable garden of the museum.
Definitely worth visiting to be amazed, the Murano glass museum offers the opportunity to see and admire the most beautiful glass sculptures ever; is located in via Fondamenta Marco Giustinian, 8, 30141 in Venice.

And since there is only one life, let’s not limit ourselves to leafing through glossy magazines of design objects, let’s not limit ourselves to visiting the Murano Glass Museum, let’s not limit ourselves to dreaming: we enhance the made in Italy, we enhance the mastery of these craftsmen , we enhance our home and make an investment that makes us happy: we buy a Murano glass sculpture !
